Lot 11

Tried a little of this because I liked the bull and the pedigree. This one turned out good. Freak necked, good bodied, and sound structured. He is green enough, out of an old club calf cow, dry short grass, and poorly managed, but I think if someone gives him a chance, a feed bucket, and some hard work the sky is the limit. Cows here that suck did not move to the new place and I don’t have many this old around. I believe in cow power, she’s always had a good one except for the one was too much. I like him!

Lot 12

If you have followed our program you have heard of our 755 donor. She not only made good cattle but she flushed great. She always bred back, she milked, she had an awesome temperament and she lived to be 13. She is no longer with us but she lives on. Not many clowns would put a BIM embryo in anymore but I’m a bozo I guess! Full sib to several over $15,000 in sale price, full sib to several who have made waves, and most recent full sib won Delta County in 2021. Check this one out. They often feed and win, as improbable as that sounds.

Lot 13

These Here I Am things can be a conundrum. They look fury and good early, they shed baby hair late, and because they are hairy they struggle in the heat all summer. They finally shed about a month before you need them hairy to sell and they look bald, green, and rough. Then they all take twice as long to get broke enough to stand on the halter and clip as some other calves. This one is good as a baby, is out of a good cow, sound structured, good bodied, and fairly stout. If you give him a good home, a cooler, feed and management there is a good chance you will look smart in the end.

Lot 14

Silver steer out of a full sister to the 3324 donor. Freak, up fronted, sound, flexible, and good haired. If he stops and softens up like a lot of the Wynn in Doubt’s he will be good because fundamentally he is good.

Lot 15

Youngest steer in the sale. This one is a little different deal. Not bred to be a steer but he is, and he’s good. Freak neck set and could choke on a grain of rice. He is sound, square, and really good haired This calf is one of Kaleb’s and reminds me of myself at 15 or so – geek necked, athletic, and good looking with hair. I think this one will get better with time. I fed and matured like so many Monopoly’s. I got big bellied, don’t have enough hip, and my knees aren’t very good, I have quite a bit of hair but it’s in the wrong spots. Yep, looks like I am a Monopoly.

Lot 16

I only list the pedigree that far back to prove that it took several generation to get rid of the TH gene. All kidding aside, this is a good, stout, sound, practical calf that’s not great haired. I think he will feed, stay sound, and have a shot at being really competitive at the end. So many families look past cattle that are not good haired, and buy a furry crippled pud, even though they don’t invest the time or have the resources to get one hairy. Pretty good calf here.

Lot 17

This one is chromed up like a 379 Pete with a bull wagon behind it. The difference is, he hasn’t let all the air out of the seat, the floorboard isn’t full of monster energy and Copenhagen cans, and there aren’t pig skin wrappers every where. This calf has changed more for the better than any on this set. He is good build, sound structured, freaky up front, awesome bodied, and good in his lines. He is stout and powerful. Had a full brother that was outstanding several years ago that I managed to kill before I could get him sold. I went back the same way with his mom and feel like I lucked out. He is good!

Lot 18

This little fellow has some real good parts. He is green for sure but fundamentally a good calf. He is sound, good built, and hairy. Full brother last year sold very reasonable. He looked like an absolute stud in about January and then fell victim to a very unfortunate accident. He lived through it, and recovered most of the way but did not reach his full potential. I would think this one will surprise a lot of people in a couple of months.

This one is really neat profiling. Square, level, and has some chromo to make it fun. I think time and feed will be his friend.

Lot 20

Nice little red steer that has good parts. He is green and younger, and pulled back hard the first couple of times we tied him so his ears are bouncy. He acts fine, just needs time and feed. His full brother did a ton of winning in Nebraska a couple of years back.
