Lot 12

If I was looking for a calf with potential to shear or show in the hair, I’d sure look at this one. Old time genetics with full sibs winning classes at Denver as a fat, second in class at Ft. Worth as a fat, and one very competitive at Dallas as a fat. He is huge backed, smooth built and perfect in his pin width and hip shape. A really good calf with a proven trustworthy pedigree. Surgically dehorned before the sale.

Lot 13

This flush of Luke and Kristen’s good Walks cow produced basically one of every color possible. Really solid black one here. Stout, sound, good legged, and good haired. Should feed real good. Surgically dehorned before the sale.

Lot 14

Really nice patterned calf with great hair. He’s plenty green but has a lot of good pieces. A full brother won Archuleta County last year for DeVought and another maternal sib was third in his class at Denver as a fat. I think this one will chub up and be good down the road.

Lot 15

If you want a wild marked one that is as friendly as a Wal-Mart greeter he’s your guy. Built good, sound, functional, and mature enough to show at an early fair. He is good haired, stout, and will be good for even the most timid exhibitor.

Lot 16

Big, stout, burly smoke out of the same flush at Lot 13 and 17. He is massive in his kind, huge hipped, and big legged. Sound at the ground and great centered. He covers a whole lot of the bases of a good solid fat steer.

Lot 17

This flush mate to Lot 13 and 16 is the one with lots of look and skeletal quality. Sound, square, and catchy up front with hair like Afroman. He is absolutely gentle and safe for a first year showman, and he was standing with slack rope chewing his cud within an hour of the first time we tied him up.

Lot 18

Here is a big, stout, loud colored one that is mature enough to be ready early. Good hair, really sound, and flexible; he should prove to be a real easy feeder. His young mother has done good so far. She raised a replacement heifer for us her first year, and a competitive steer for the Hodnett family last year that was a sale qualifier at New Mexico State Fair.

Lot 19

This giraffe necked freak is really cool built and should be competitive down the road. He’s sound, good bodied, stout, and freaky fronted.

Lot 20

This younger Fu is out of an outstanding second calver. She was a hit with the college judging teams we bait into this country, likely more my wife’s cooking than my cattle, but they found her regardless. He’s high quality, good haired, and sound structured. First year showman friendly. Surgically dehorned before the sale.

Lot 21

This younger red steer out of an impressive second calver. This one has made more progress since weaning than any other. He is sound, soft haired, and should be a good choice for a young showman.
